Fresh Well Water

Most Sierra Nevada well water starts out clear, but after a few years or heavy rainfall seasons, well water may begin to turn rusty and leave stains on household fixtures or may even cause black or brown stains while washing clothes.

Sometimes you may notice a “rotten egg” smell in your water caused by sulfur or sulfides.

This occurs because water in the Sierra Nevada comes through underground streams that flow through mineral-laden rocks and sand.  In new wells this sediment doesn’t always show up at first but after a few years of use–you will begin to notice a change in the well-water.

We use filtration media taken right from the earth to clean well-water.  Our systems include state-of-the art electronic heads and tanks that backwash this media to extend its life.  Yes–the media does need to be replaced from time to time–and these systems need to be in an insulated shed or garage to protect them from the elements.

El Dorado County Water

Mountain Living is great, and when you move to the mountains, one of the first things you think about is that cool fresh, mountain water.  You have your well drilled for you home water needs and everything’s fine, for a year or two.  But after usage, your well starts pulling in orange smelly water.  What’s a person to do?  If you want to know more about El Dorado County Water, Placerville water, read on.

Orange smelly water is the result of iron and sulfur in the water.  Buying an under counter whole house water filter from Home Depot for about $50 will work — for about a month.  And then you find yourself replacing filters almost every two weeks.  After a few months, you’re already out $200.  Within a year you can be spending up to $1000 on the systems and filters, and it only works temporarily and doesn’t really remove the smell.

Maybe it’s time to think of upgrading to a new water system.  You can filter your water with a Water Treatment System from Water Logics and not have to change filters ever again.  A Water Treatment System from Water Logics uses natural media (various types of sand and rock media) that only needs to be replaced once every one or two years.  The systems are automatic, with electric backwashing that drains onto your land and is environmentally safe.

The next time you go to take a bath and refuse to get into a tubful of orange water, give us a call, you might be pleasantly surprised at what we can do for your water and usually less expensively than those undersized and overpriced salt water systems that others are selling about town.
